Summer Pricing and Info

*Please pay and tip all summer guides and staff directly. Do not pay Wild Country.

*All costs are based on per day per guide or staff.

Fishing Guide (2 to 4 fisherman per guide):

  • Day fishing trip per guide (up to 8 hours): $350 (plus around a $100-$200 tip)

  • Day fishing trip per guide w/drift boat (up to 8 hours): $450 (plus around a $100-$200 tip)

    • If additional time is wanted (e.g., 10 to 12-hour days), consider adding more to the tip.

  • Guides use their vehicles, gear, and flies. Tips show appreciation for a job well done and the guide’s experience and expertise. Tips range from $100 to $200 per day per guide.

  • If a guide is hired for the day, he can provide equipment and supplies for two to four (2-4) anglers. If there are more than four anglers in the group, those additional anglers will need to bring their own fishing supplies and equipment (e.g., rods, flies, lures, tippet, and leader). The guide will still assist everyone in the group by showing what flies and lures to use, but he will not supply gear and equipment to the entire group.

  • Multiple guides can be hired per day. Therefore, everyone in the group would have a guide (two to four fishermen to one guide).

  • Guides can supply flies and lures to the group if everyone doesn’t want a guide assigned to them, but would rather have more DIY fishing experience. This needs to be arranged beforehand. The lease group (fishing group) will need to reimburse the guide.

Spring and Summer Cook:

  • Cooks are included during the fall hunt weeks. For spring and summer lodge visits, guests can hire a cook or cooks to take care of their group or cook for themselves.

  • Cost (based per day)

    • This cost does not include food and drinks. Receipts will be provided for the cost of food, and the guest will be invoiced for the cost of food:

    • 1-15 guests: $200

    • 16-20 guests and three days or less: $225

    • 16-20 guests, more than three days (two cooks): $400

    • 21+ guests (two cooks): $400

  • Tips are greatly appreciated. Tips can range from $100 to $400 per day, depending on group size.

Shed Hunting

  • Shed hunting guide (per day): $350 (plus around a $100-$200 tip)

    • Guides help make the shed hunt a better experience. Guests typically find more sheds with a guide. The guides may also help shuttle guests around the ranch so that they do not have to hike as hard.

    • Even if no guide is hired, at least one guide will be assigned to watch over the shed-hunting group. (The group will not have to pay for this service. This guide will not be shuttling people around if a guide is not hired.) The guide will, more or less, be a host and oversee the group.

  • Guides use their vehicles and gear. Tips show appreciation for a job well done and the guide’s experience and expertise.

Prairie dog hunting and coyote hunting

  • Cost per guide (per day): $350 plus tip (plus around a $100-$200 tip)

  • Hunter must provide his rifle and ammo (unless prior arrangements are made).

    • If guests want to use the guides’ rifles and ammunition, they will need to reimburse the guides for the ammunition and rifle use. Guests may be billed for reimbursement for guide equipment usage and ammo costs.

  • Guides use their vehicles, gear, and equipment (If guests use guides’ rifles). Tips show appreciation for a job well done and the guide’s experience and expertise.

range shooting

  • Cost per guide (per day): $400 plus tip (plus around a $100-$300 tip)

  • A guide can comfortably take four shooters at a time. We recommend that for every four shooters, you hire one guide. A guide can take care of more shooters, but this will cause longer downtimes and a harder time managing all shooters.

  • The shooter must provide his rifle and ammo (unless prior arrangements are made).

    • If guests want to use the guides’ rifles and ammunition, they will need to reimburse the guides for the ammunition and rifle use. Guests may be billed for reimbursement for guide equipment usage and ammo costs. On most shooting days, a guide taking care of four guests will spend around $150 on equipment and ammo.

  • Guides use their vehicles, gear, and equipment (If guests use guides’ rifles). Tips show appreciation for a job well done and the guide’s experience and expertise.

Fall Grouse and duck hunting

  • Grouse and duck hunting are only available when the lease group is on the ranch during their hunt week.

  • Hunter must provide his shotgun and ammo (unless prior arrangements are made).

  • Tips show appreciation for a job well done and the guide’s experience and expertise. Tips range from $100 to $250 per day per guide.

Airport/Hotel Shuttle

  • Cost: $175 (one way per vehicle)

  • Depending on the luggage, three to four guests can be shuttled by one vehicle.

Lodging:

  • Each assignee (lease group) gets one stay of up to five nights at the Lodge or Hell Canyon Facility.

  • If additional nights at the Lodge or Hells Facility are wanted, the cost is $750 per night.

    • Wild Country allows all lease groups to use the Lodge during the spring and summer. Therefore, additional nights are not always available.

  • If the lessee wants to split their lodge visits into multiple trips (e.g., use the lodge for three days in May, then again for two nights in June), the cost of the second trip is $300 for cleaning fees. If a cook is hired, the fee is waived (she builds cleaning into the cooking fee)

    • If the lessee wants to use the Hell Canyon Camp and has already used time at the Lodge, a $250 cleaning fee will apply.
